It's not easy popping over to France for a few hours on a cheap flight and trying to decide on your dream home for the next few years. The Internet certainly makes life easier for us all and allows us to almost 'touch and feel' properties without leaving our deskchair, but it's still not the same as being there! It's not surprising then how many people jump on a plane and pop over thinking they can make a decision in a few hours. You can't!

Plan your trip so that you do have enough time to take in the properties on your short-list, revisits as appropriate, the local area, the ambience and 'feel' for the area. This is a big commitment, and we at ORPI would prefer you to arrive with plenty of time to properly view our selected properties. Our years of experience have shown that you are more likely to be able to make the right decision- the right house for you - if you are not under pressure. You certainly won't get a load of pressure-selling from us - we just want you to buy the right house for you.

Having checked your diaries and calendars and found your 'window of opportunity', you may well wish to explore a particular area for a few days (even weeks) and to this end we have decided to list long-term lets and long term accommodation for house-hunters in Aquitaine.

This gite-style accommodation allows you to move house for a week or two and try the real French life - not from a hotel bedroom. You will find our houses well-equipped and homely and because most are only offered out-of-season, the rents are very reasonable. These same properties are let out in high season to holidaymakers at many hundreds of pounds per week.
